When using sftp to transfer a file from a Solaris 8 server to a Windows PC, the
transfer fails and the following message is appended to the system log:  
fred sshd[29075]: [ID 800047 auth.crit] fatal: buffer_append_space: alloc
10517901 not supported.

This kills the users ssh session, but sshd continues to run.

The version of OpenSSH running is 4.2pl:
OpenSSH_4.2p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8 05 Jul 2005

This problem is reproducible.
