Thanks, but we only support the version of autoconf that is used for
our releases (2.61 for the most part, we used 2.62 for the 5.3p1
release but that's known to cause problems on some platforms so we're
going back to 2.61).

Our configure is hairy enough already that we're not going to add
hackage to work around autoconf bugs.
