Bug #: 2005
Summary: scp should not overwrite files (without confirmation)
Classification: Unclassified
Product: Portable OpenSSH
Version: 5.9p1
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: scp
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at mindrot.org
ReportedBy: calestyo at scientia.net
Hi.
Not sure whether this has already been discussed previously (because it
seems so basic to me), but at least I haven't found it.
Right now, scp overwrites files (both when copied locally or remotely).
scp, being a conceptual relative to cp, should provide something like
cp's "-i".
Cheers,
Chris.
