I believe we were trying to solve similar issue with the patch attached
to the bug #2775. In short, we came to the conclusion, we should not
set KRB5CCNAME at all if it is using the default location from
krb5.conf.

The original version we are using in Fedora is little bit more
complicated, but there is also lined red hat bugzilla, where you can
find some more discussion about this.

Feedback, comments, improvements would be very appreciated.
