We are also very interested in such an option for openSUSE Kubic, for
similar reasons as Fedora CoreOS.
Moreover, during a discussion at this year's "All Systems Go!" it got
clear that there is a broad interest in splitting package and admin
configuration into different files, both from distribution maintainers
and administrators. The proposed patch would make that possible.
