I used "git clone https://github.com/openssh/openssh-portable.git" 

Followed the instruction below:

cd openssh-portable
autoreconf
./configure
make && make tests

Since that was not working, I then deleted everything with "rm -rf
openssh-portable" and used used the git clone command from above again.
This time it worked.
