If if helps at all, I added support for Ed448 host keys in mod_sftp
here:
  https://github.com/proftpd/proftpd/issues/1437

and recently ran across the lack of Ed448/Curve448 support in OpenSSH
while testing support for Ed448 host keys in the OpenSSH-provided SSH
agent.
