We don't support 9.X because it's obsolete.

: I don't know what "niit1" stand for. We use openssh on several HP
: 9000/800 series (HP-UX 10.20, 11.00) compiled with gcc-2.95.2 and
: did not run into problems with the latest portable openssh version
: and the pam-patch provides earlier in this list.

10.20 and 11.0 are supported (11.11 should be ok as well).
