mips-sgi-irix6.5 here, and I'm also getting this one with ssh2s scp:

% scp krypvier:/etc/passwd /tmp/
jfm at krypvier's password:

Not here. Normal ssh2 session works fine:

% ssh -V
ssh: SSH Secure Shell 2.3.0 (non-commercial version) on sparc-sun-solaris2.7
% ssh krypvier
jfm's password:
