BTW. Is there is specific reason to not make ASKPASS_PROGRAM an option
of configure (like xauth)? I actually have installed (x11-)ssh-askpass in
the default PATH. It is not distributed with openssh and since I have
openssh in a special location (/usr/local/openssh) I don't like to have
extra software inside /usr/local/openssh...
