Problem with connecting to host running ssh 2.3.0p1

Now I understand fully, many thanks. This should probably get written
up on the web page as many others are likely to run into it. I had
already backed out the 2.5.2p1 release on my machines when I saw your
note.

I guess the best workaround (if you can't upgrade some particular
remote server) is to specify -c 3des on the local command line.
