I have updated to the latest from CVS today, then I've called
autoconf and tried to build.  I'm getting the following error
now:

    config.status: creating scard/Makefile
    config.status: error: cannot find input file: scard/Makefile.in

which isn't a surprise since there's no subdir `scard'.
