the function is grantpt(), but where to put it?

On tru64, grantpt() is the function to use to take ownership of
a terminal.  But where should it go in the code?  It has to apply to
the master pseudoterminal device, but that isn't passed to setup_sia();

Where is the output of mm_answer_pty() received?
