It doesn't work on either AIX (4.3.3) or Solaris (7).

$ uname -rs
SunOS 5.7
$ echo a | ./fixpaths -Da=b
./fixpaths: error in command line arguments.
./fixpaths: -1: bad number

$ uname    
AIX
$ echo a | ./fixpaths -Da=b
./fixpaths: error in command line arguments.
