problem running ssh-keygen in Solaris 8 x86

I am using openssh-3.0.2p1 and openssl-0.9.6b.
Any problems with such a combination?

Majority of the time I've seen this it is due to problems with mismatch
OpenSSL/OpenSSH or badly compiled OpenSSL.
