strnvis() isn't in glibc 2.3.1 (at least version 2.3.1-15 of the Debian
package, which I'm currently running). OpenSSH 3.6 compiled fine for me
on the same platform. I haven't tested it yet but there were no problems
with a CVS build from 20030312.
