Don't see how it cause psftp/putty/pscp to fail on AIX all the time.  With
and without compression and never seen such a case.  I've seen times
where putty has refused to connect to a machine (normally older  pre-3.1),
but I tend to believe it is an odd combination of bugs being hit.
