OpenSSH api

Hello:

I want to use OpenSSH to convert my application that uses telnet into SSH. Currently I have a VB client that communicates with a remote database server using Informix-4GL. This communication is done using a telnet session developed by Winsock api. I need to convert this into SSH. Is there any OpenSSH api/library available that can help me in doing this ( i know u can do it by OpenSSL)  

For example: instead of     send(Socket, .....,.....);

i need                               ssl_send(key,...,Socket...)
