afaik there is only a draft regarding the way x509 certificates
are stored in the LDAP directory. 
(PKIX : http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/pkix-charter.html)

I haven't seen any draft related on the way the public keys 
should be retrieved or matched, may be i missed something, did i ?.

it is under BSD license, i made a mistake in the README file,
which is now fixed, thanks noticing it :).
