sshd -g question

Hello,
Im using openssh-3.6.1p2 on rehdat 8. Im
running my sshd (sshd -g 60) on this machine and
trying to connect to this from another machine which
has the same setup as that of the first one. I don't
see the session on my client exiting and returning to
the prompt after 60s(grace time period). My client
session still hangs until I press <Enter> on my
keyboard. Is this the expected behaviour???
