Problem with X tunneling, su, and xauth

Thanks; i'm well aware of all that, however (which is why i suggested
the use of sudo).  The gentle subscriber who actually posted the
question appears to go by "Let's Go Canes" and mentions your 'xauth
list' technique as his/her method #3.
