Possible feature request: sync_on_close mode for scp/sftp uploads

Recalls, stage, have put some pressure on ranch causing about a 3 to 4 hour delay. I made some changes that will help.
Were looking into some changes that will help the recalls.

Sync will (in theory) cause the entire contents of the filecache to be flushed
to disc right?

occasionally still goes sync; sync; sync; reboot....
