Additional good reasons are that Curve25519 is used elsewhere in real
things: DNSCurve, Tor (newer versions), DNSCrypt, ZeroMQ.  Curve25519
is also in CurveCP, MinimaLT, and will be added to Google's new QUIC
protocol.
