A patch to 6.6p1 to pass the key and fingerprint via environment variables
SSH_KEY and SSH_KEY_FINGERPRINT, respectively, is at
https://github.com/ScottDuckworth/openssh-akcenv.

I can work on creating a patch against master and post it to the bug that
you referenced in your first response to me.
