ssh2 key passphrase problems in 2.9.9 on Linux

Entering from a tty, thus far, since I'm testing from a terminal and don't 
know any way to force ssh-add (for example) to use ssh-askpass.  It's 
working fine on the Ultra1 next to me, which is running solaris 8 ahd has 
the same versions of gcc, openssh and openssl.

On the theory that it's a gcc problem, I've just bootstrapped a new gcc 
build and I'm now recompiling to see if that solves the problem.
