I recall that scp had -1/-2 support a long, long time ago (2.0, 2.1 era),
but it was removed and people were told to use -o (by Theo de Raadt IIRC).  
However, I couldn't find confirmation for this in ChangeLog, so I may be 
misremembering this for some other -1/-2 issue.
