I've tried it on Solaris 2.6 and 8 and 9. On Solaris 8 and 9 openssh-3.7.1p1
plus this patch work fine, on Solaris 2.6 sshd still segfaults.

I doubt somewhat that this segfault has to do with the reading
of /etc/default/login - in the truss output there is no open call
of /etc/default/login in the vicinity of the segfault.
Hence, I believe it is a different problem.
