generating libcrypto.so.6

Hi ,

I have compiled openssl-1.0.1i and it generated *.so  files.
but  i cannot  find libcrypto.so.6 & libssl.so.6 generated which my
application requires ,
can you please let me know how i can generate those so's, with out
installing any rpm's
