OK.  It doesn't show in the list archives 
(https://lists.debian.org/debian-ssh/2024/07/threads.html), so 
presumably it never made it there first time round.  At a year after the 
fact I doubt there are still any logs remaining indicating where it 
might have gone missing.

(Regarding the regression, you're obviously entitled to your opinion, 
but as somebody who regularly deals with non-trivial merge conflicts and 
has no doubt made the occasional mistake in the process, my opinion is 
unchanged.)
