[SUMMARY] compiling problems on Solaris 2.6 x86 (fwd)

Can someone explain why we need this fix on Solaris 2.6?

Hello,
I just wanted to post this fix action as Mailed to me from
Juergen Georgi as I received many off-line post of "did you
figure it out" and "please email me if this is fixed".
As it turns out (see example below) that a simple ln -s
resolves the problem. Thank you Juergen.
