The "hang on exit" problem is a completely different issue.

The bug I am reporting has to do with the actions the sshd program
takes when it is first started (before it even starts listening for
incoming client connections).  Essentially, sshd doesn't daemonizing
itself properly.

I'll clarify tomorrow, when I have my [Stevens] on hand, and can quote
specific sections for Markus.
