Or link statically.  Since you know atexit() is in your libc.a and
I bet it is NOT in your libc.so.

I'll also bet you updated your libc about the time you first had problems
compiling OpenSSH.  You said you had problems for about a year and
glibc had this bad change about 14 months ago.
