The address you sent this to is not the appropriate place for general
problem reports regarding Portable OpenSSH.  Unless you're reporting a
security exposure you should use openssh-unix-dev.

This is just a hunch but try adding "#define BROKEN_REALPATH 1" to
config.h (ie, run configure, edit config.h, then run make).
