Yes. I had only run autoconf. Either autoconf + autoheader or autoreconf
is needed. My fault.

It compiles and passes all tests now.

Some tests run utils which show error messages, though.
regress/copy2: Not a directory
rm: cannot remove `.': Is a directory
rm: cannot remove `..': Is a directory
rm: cannot remove `.': Is a directory
rm: cannot remove `..': Is a directory
which: no time in ($PATH)
