Thanks for getting back to me, and apologies for my delay in
responding. You've suggested submitting upstream to OpenBSD, but I'm
even less clear on how to do that than how to submit code to just the
OpenSSH project. Regarding the latter, I don't see an easy way to
submit new code for anyone to review. I think I saw a suggestion to
use CVS or Mercurial to create diffs and then commit back, but I'm
thinking I won't have permissions to check in code.

Is there a doc somewhere that covers submitting code to OpenSSH?
